i bought this for a friend who moved from abroad to london 6 years ago. Even after living here a while, i kept mentioning things to do in london and she had never heard of them so i bought this for her and said that it will help her to be a proper londoner :) She was really pleased with it and said that there were so many places she had never been. she said in the 'kids' section, she had taken her children to 98% of the places but for the other things she was really surprised to have not been or heard of them.

I was on the hunt for a little Londoner book that I could give to my sister and her boyfriend, who have recently moved to the city. This book looked perfect, and when it came in the post I was even happier with it. It offers such a variation of locations - from the best vegetarian spots (a necessity for the pair of them) to cool Soho boozers and historic pubs. They both really loved it, and have made an agreement to tick off one location from the book every weekend and send me a picture. Would totally recommend to anyone who wants to explore London or knows people who live there! Compact and tidy to take on the go, as well. Oliver Bonas never fails me.
