Introduce colour and texture to your room with this patchwork bedspread. In warm velvet tones, it features a geometric design and intricate top-stitching. The first drop of the Patchwork Multicolour Bedspread was made by re-using fabric offcuts from previous Oliver Bonas products. These sold out in an unprecedented amount of time and due to high demand, we have taken the decision to re-issue the design. Going forward, our Patchwork Bedspread will not be made from fabric offcuts.

Whilst I agree the bedspread is warm and heavy, I disagree with the quality of the product as mentioned in previous reviews. The stitching does not appear to be of high quality. So for the price I’d be interested to see how long it lasts. My experience using the website was excellent.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful, LOVE the colour scheme! And it’s big enough to overhang on my small double bed. Came with a handy storage bag which I have been using for laundry which is perfect in student accommodation where it’s in a different block! Some things to consider before buying however: - it is velvet patches and some sort of cotton linen for the plain patches. It is also plain on the reverse side. - it may be lighter than you’re expecting - be careful when washing it - follow the instructions of 30°C and gentle tumble dry on label to avoid shrinking, colour bleeding, loose threads etc

Beautiful, warm and vibrant quilt. Love how soft and cosy it is, although I wouldn’t sleep with it on its own as the cotton underside isn’t very soft. We’ve layered it over the top of our duvet. The colours are lovely, and I like that it is a beautiful way to incorporate colours into our bedroom without looking childish or cheap.

I'd read some reviews that complained about the smell of this when you opened it, so had been put off first. I'm glad I ignored them in the end as whilst it has a bit of a smell when you do first open it, it goes really quickly and it's such a beautiful throw. It is expensive but I think it's well worth the money as it has transformed our room.

Love this patchwork bedspread. It’s very good quality with a good thickness and weight to it. Did have a musty cardboard smell when it arrived, so I washed it a couple of times on 30 degrees, it washes really well which I’m pleased about. Happy with my purchase!

The bedspread itself is lovely, but it stinks of damp and is therefore not usable or pleasant. I’m not particularly sensitive to smell but the odour does fill the whole room. Even washing it professionally has not solved it. The issue is known to Oliver Bonas for a long time but they appear to continue to be sending out these. No soft furnishings should be sent out in this condition. Until they stop doing that, I would not recommend this item whatsoever. Disappointing as their items are lovely otherwise.

Beautiful. Well packaged. Colours more muted than in photos which is actually not a bad thing as they are very pretty. Others have complained about a weird smell? Mine was fine, no smell at all other than a ‘new things’ scent to it! Contrary to other reviews, the fabric isn’t cheap or thin, it is a more rustic open weave, natural colour cotton mixed with the velvet - a good contrast of textures imho. Comfortable and warm too.

Brought this for my mums bed when she came of out hospital and we couldn’t put it on the bed due to the smell. I aired it for 24 hours outside and the smell is still there. It was not a lost cost item and we still cannot use it. You can’t put it in the washing machine due to its size and velvet patches. Why does it smell so bad!?

This bedspread is absolutely worth the hype! Super cosy, amazing quality and enormous. Looks and feels luxe and far more expensive than it is. I’d been eyeing it up for ages, and I’m so glad I took the plunge.

Came packaged well. The colours are nice but more muted than in the picture, the pink looks more peach in reality. Quality of the bedspread is very good, super soft with a good weight to it (so if used alone in warmer weather doesn’t feel too light like a ghost will eat your toes). 3 stars because….I tried to put it in the washing machine when I first opened it as it smellled rotten to tell the truth. It wouldn’t fit in the machine…so I put up with the smell for a few more days until I couldn’t bare it any longer. I took it outdoors and febreezed the heck out of it and left it to dry then did it again. It’s fine now, but was not ideal in those early days. First world problems I know

I absolutely adore the bedspread and once I got the first one, as it was so beautiful I ordered a second one. However, buyer beware. The smell of the bedspread is VERY STRONG and really foul. Fortunately, I have quite a big washing machine drum, so I washed it at 20% with a low spin and it came out brilliantly and the smell had completely gone. However, if you didn't have a big machine it would be difficult to fit in and you'd end up having to go to a laundarette or something as the smell would never go otherwise. Once it's clean it is fabulous and well worth it.

This is a beautiful, warm, bedspread large enough to easily fit on my European King sized bed. The colours are gorgeous and remind me of autumn. I absolutely love it.

It's beautiful. It's quite thin, but not too thin. It's great on top of a duvet or by itself on warm nights. It's very tactile. Makes you want to snuggle under it. It's large and seems to be of good quality. It was quite expensive but glad I got it. Other people ask me where I got it from and comment on how lovely it is.

The bedspread is beautiful but both the initial and replacement had an unpleasant smell to them. This was rectified satisfactorily by the very helpful customer service team. Collected the replacement from the cleaners, the smell is gone and the quilt is beautiful with no shrinkage or colour fading. I am delighted with it!

The quilt is a lovely design, the cream-coloured cotton is thinner and a looser weave than I was anticipating. The bedspread has a hand-quilted look with machine-sewn edging. Overall it's lovely, I do have reservations due to the quality of the cream fabric about washing it at 30 degrees in a machine, think it will be a cold wash to start with.

Style over substance and poor value for money. Reluctantly I have kept this as the colours are pretty and perfectly coordinate with the bedroom plus I need a bedspread, but I am not impressed by the quality. The cream cotton calico is thin and loosely woven and looks cheap. The patchwork joins are visible through the calico and I am not convinced that the calico will wash without shrinking. Also unlike the original product, this is not made from offcuts. I bought a lamp at the same time which is also style over substance and poor value for money, so probably won't choose Oliver Bonas again.

I've been looking for 8 years and I just love this bedspread. It feels rustic without being naff, well made and easy to make up every morning. The only very small thing that would make it perfect is if it was maybe 6 inches longer and wider. But I can put up with that because I love the colours and design so much
