Description

In a large size, this statement jug is a traditional design, shaped in the style of a koi fish with a mouth-shaped pourer that makes a 'glug glug' sound when liquid is poured out, giving the jug its name. In orange engraved with scale, fin and face details, this piece has a handle formed from its curved tail, and is made with a base that it stands on. Use this decorative jug as a vase, gift it to your friends or loved ones, or let it be the talk of the table as part of your entertaining tableware.

This fish-shaped pitcher can hold up to 700ml of liquid, making it ideal for serving water or soft drinks. Alternatively, use as a decorative objet d'art to store kitchen utensils or add an ornamental touch to your home. Hand wash only.

Gluggle Jug FAQs

Gluggle jugs are named after the 'gluggle' sound that they make when poured. The original fish-shaped vase was made in Staffordshire over a hundred years ago, and now comes in plenty of colours and sizes. Use as a jug, vase, decanter or utensil holder.

Gluggle jugs make a distinctive 'glug glug' noise when pouring. This happens when the jug is filled up and air gets trapped in the fish's tail. When it escapes, the jug 'glugs' repeatedly.
