I bought two of these lampshades for my hallway and I absolutely love them. They look so smart and a bit different to the norm. I would certainly recommend them. Also, when the light is on they cast nice patterns through the strands. A very good buy. They are quite big, I got the smaller ones but would have liked one even a bit smaller for another room.

The lampshade was the exact style I was looking for to finish off a room, and it was delivered promptly as expected. However the item arrived quite misshapen and looks untidy on one side. If I’d paid full price, I would have returned as it doesn’t look good enough for the price, but given I used a gift card, I’ve managed to angle it so you don’t see the misshapen side and saved myself the effort of returning.

I had been waiting for this to come back in stock for months so when it finally arrived, I was very excited. Unfortunately I didn’t love the shade as much as I had hoped. It was a little uneven in places with the rattan needing to be manually tucked/aligned and the gaps in the rattan mean the overall look wasn’t as good as I had hoped.

Lovely looking lampshade and reasonable price. It arrived well packaged but unfortunately I had to return it… it was squashed/didn’t hang straight and had a number of snapped pieces of wood. It wasn’t finished well given the price . Returns process was fast and easy though so would definitely use Oliver Bonas online again

We are really pleased with this lampshade. At first we weren't sure whether the unevenness to the shape was intentional or not, but once we realised it was we have taken to this. It is in our bedroom and has really enhanced the effect we were going for having gone for a wicker/rattan theme along with a green feature wall in there. The quality is also very apparent.

Found it challenging to find a lampshade that could fit onto the existing fixture and that still looked like something expensive / custom in the space. Lamp is well made and as described. Casts a gorgeous shadow across the ceiling. I was worried about glare from the bulb as it is above the bed, but the shade does a surprisingly good job of softening the downward glare while still keeping the room nice and bright.

I was really pleased with this shade. Some of the reviews were a bit iffy so I felt it could go either way but it has really finished off our room and was a good quality. All the strands were really evenly placed and there were no major gaps. If anything it was a bit darker than I expected but it still looks great and hangs perfectly straight.

Now that the shade has arrived (well packaged to prevent damage - thank you) and it has been installed, I am really happy with having made the purchase. I have used a clear glass light bulb and the light shines through the looped strands to made an attractgive pattern on the ceiling - just the effect I was looking for. I bought these based on the reviews left by others. A bit disappointed to find that there are huge gaps between some of the rattan strips, so some were only a few mm apart, some were a good 1-2 inches, and although yes, it projects a nice pattern on the ceiling, it also projects them on every wall and creates a very uneasy atmosphere in the living room. Would not recommend them for a space that is used frequently or heavily relies on the lights.

Overall, this looks good in my living room and leaves nice shading on the wall but I don’t think the quality is very good and one side is definitely higher than the other. We played around with the lampshade for ages to make it appear straight from all angles but had to give up! You probably wouldn’t notice unless you knew it was wonky but still, I’d expect less imperfections for the price.
